Hello,
We are trying to place an outboard – long neck (?) on the rear board of an HT 26. We tried with a classical moving (up and down) support but its' not enough to get the propeller into the water. What else could we use or is there any trick to fix this ?
Thanks to all.Etienne
14th September 2007 at 3:55 am #11522I have a 30hp installed on my HT 27. Whoever installed it put in a large backing board on the inside of the stern and bolted an outboard bracket to it. The outboard bracket is designed to lift and tilt manually. This didn’t work very well at all and the outboard needs to be hauled up using a line and pulley through the dingy davids. Also reverse doesn’t work cause it climbs out. I’m not sure how to do this right but I can show you how not to do it!!
2nd October 2007 at 3:50 pm #11523Thank you for your answer. We superposed two supports one over the other, on the rear board. Thats also a solution to avoid .. Finally, we will replace the used sonic sillette drive in order to use the diesel inboard again. Much more comfortable.
4th October 2007 at 5:00 pm #11524Hi Tenou.
A question, if you dont mind. How good is the sillette drive, what size engine do you use and could you give me an approx cost?I know there is otheres who had or have sillete drives. Would appreciate some response.
Im going crazy, one year to decide on re- engining from my failed 9.9 and still not there yet.
Best regards
Steve
