AGM 2017 – 2018 Photos
In mid February we had our AGM weekend at the RNLI College in Poole. Veteran and new members gelled together seamlessly (as we have come to expect) and a good time was had by all. Food and drink was reasonably priced.
We had an interesting tour of the college and training facilities including the pool where they learn capsize drill and also had a trip in the Lifeboat simulator. It was us as a group going out of Dover Harbour to rescue people from a collision of two vessels. They had a gadget which could dial up the weather from benign to storm force in the blink of an eye. I did wonder if you can get one for real life so you could dial the weather downwards from storm force to nice sailing breeze. If I could to that I might get super rich……..
Most people have asked if we can return to the same venue again, so please consider joining us next year for another super event. Date and time to be advised once we have secured dates with the venue.
