The object of the Heavenly Twins & Cruising Catamaran Association (“HTCCA”, “we” or “us”) is to promote or facilitate the sport of Yachting particularly in cruising catamarans. In order to do this we collect and use personal data.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller shall be the committee of The Heavenly Twins and Cruising Catamaran Association.

Please note. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to other members, please tick the relevant box situated on the registration form which we use to collect your data, or contact a committee member with that request.
in relation to the operation of HTCCA Website:
to ensure that content from the site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or mobile device.
to administer the site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;

E. HOW WE MAY SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
Your information will only be shared with other members either in our Membership listings or by your permission. Your information will not be knowingly sold or shared with any persons outside of the Association.
F. RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
Members We may keep and process your personal data for as long as you remain a member, or, with your permission, where the data is needed in relation to a vessel you have owned in the past. Where your membership lapses we will within a reasonable time of the lapse occurring cease actively processing your data.
Non Members data Some personal data is received from non members visiting the web site or by contacting the Membership Secretary or by other means. This data will be held for a reasonable time before deletion to assist with the joining of new members to the association. This information will not be knowingly sold or shared with any persons outside of the HTCCA.
G. WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is stored only within the archives of the HTCCA. Your data will not knowingly be stored by or shared with anyone outside of the HTCCA. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
H. PASSWORDS AND PIN NUMBERS
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or PIN number which enables you to access certain parts of the HTCCA Website, you are responsible for keeping this password or PIN number confidential. We ask you not to share passwords and PIN numbers with anyone.
I. USE OF THE INTERNET
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us; any transmission is at your own risk. Where we retain your personal data after you cease to be a member of the HTCCA, you have the right to ask us not to process your personal data. You can exercise this right at any time by contacting any of the committee by their publicised contact details.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you.
L. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
