      The subject of obtaining decent weather forecasts came up during a general discussion at the AGM over the weekend of 28/29/30 Jan. For those of you with laptops onboard (or pre going to the boat) local information for the Southampton, Portsmouth and Chichester areas is worth looking at Bramblenet.co.uk. This also has links to Sotonmet, Cambernet and Chimet.

        There are a number of links on the right hand side of the front page which include weather forecasts and tide predictions which may be useful.

          http://www.xcweather.co.uk and http://www.windfinder.com are both good, and cover most places.
