      Hello HT sailors,
I have read , that the stooptroughs on a HT 27 are approx 5 foot high.
How high are the stoopthrougs on a HT 26 MK III ?

      Kind regards
      Volker

        Hi Volker,

It's been a while since you posted this question…so you probably already have the answer?

In summary stoopthroughs were only made available on the HT27 which was moulded with an additional freeboard (4″) and a revised deck layout.

Whilst I have seen some MK4's modified to accomodate stoopthroughs……I would better describe these as crawl throughs given all the restrictions that the earlier moulding dictated.

Mk1- MK3 HT's had softwood beams running underneath the cockpit floor extending for the whole width of the boat and then bonded to the hull sides restricting access to approx 2'6″….so in my opinion not even sufficient for a crawl through.

        Bruce
