New member says hello

Greetings from a new boy :

Are there any French-based HT owners out there ?
I suppose I could have scrolled through the members list to find them, but this gives me an opportunity to say a general Hi to all fellow cat sailors.
My wife & I usually cruise on her cousin's Delher 37 – nice boat for a monohull – but we have also crewed or chartered a score of other yachts, mostly 35-45 ft monohulls but also one or two cats.
Have been interested in HTs for some time, but they are few and far between on our side of the Channel. We decided that when we do buy a boat, it ought to be a Heavenly Twins, after meeting one a couple of years ago off the coast of Brittany in a F8 gusting to F9. We were feeling perfectly safe but VERY uncomfortable, close-hauled in our Dehler 37, when this HT crossed our path : if the two crew are reading this, we envied you sitting snugly in that central cockpit, far more sheltered than ours, looking very stable despite the 9 ft swell, as you headed for (we assumed) one of the drying harbours or quiet anchorages on that coast that were out of bounds to our 1.8 m draught and fin keel … we finally dragged into Loctudy near midnight after beating for hours off Panmarch Point.
I'm sorry if our response to your cheerful wave was less than enthusiastic, but we were going through the “why the hell do we DO this ?” phase at the time.
We would love a cruise on a Heavenly Twins – or a day trip round the bay, any bay, we're not proud – but haven't found any charter companies in France with HTs on their books. Any ideas ?
