- Hi
I am a new member to HTCCA web site and recently completed my RYA
dayskipper . I am seriously considering buying a Heavanly Twins
catamaran or similar as I have read so much positive information and
it would suit the kind of sailing I am looking for . I am 62 and
looking at retiring in the not so distant future so need to get a move
on getting a boat !
Is it possible to put a request on the web site to see if anyone could
let me join them for a sail to experience sailing a catamaran and see
the living quarters . I am currently a member of crewseekers .net and
have crewed for owners before to gain experience .
Many thanks
Colin
7th January 2018 at 8:50 am #12708Might be possible sometime in summer 2018. My HT Mark 4 is in Greece in a Preveza boatyard.
7th January 2018 at 2:09 pm #12715Hi Colin, I bought mine as a project and have completely re-fitted her. I work within the boating industry so have good knowledge regarding fit outs and have changed quite a few things. If you want any specific info please let me know, I’m not sure where your based but you are welcome to visit. Dave

7th January 2018 at 7:21 pm #12720Hi Colin, well that’s not to bad I am at Oulton Broad (Lowestoft) not that far I guess. Since I have owned Twin Star (over 10years now) I have looked at many examples and sadly broken one up for scrap & spares last year. She will be going back in about March I hope, you are welcome to visit before then if you fancy a good look round and in depth chat. My e-mail is drparr@hotmail.co.uk. Dave
7th January 2018 at 9:03 pm #12721I usually go out to Greece in May and stay till the end of October. Never have a real plan. Various friends and family come out, though most I prefer to sail alone. Anyway, I guess we could stay in touch. If you Google ‘Voile la’ there are still photos from the broker’s site.
Best wishes
Patrick
7th January 2018 at 10:22 pm #12722Hi Patrick,
Thats a coincidence . I had just found the site advertising Voile la and admired it so much I posted a reply to it hoping to find out if the current owner might be selling her or shares . Did you purchase her from this advertisement ?
can you please let me know if you come across any other Heavenly twins for sale in the Ionian . I have considered purchasing one here and possibly taking it down through the French waterways
kind regards
coln
7th January 2018 at 10:25 pm #12723Hi Colin. I won’t go out to Greece until April or May. I tend to stay out till end October. Never a real plan. I guess we could keep in touch.
7th January 2018 at 10:35 pm #12724I bought ‘Voile la’ on the basis of the photos, a survey and an earlier sighting of her. Rerigged and changed engines, new sails. Plus new lots of things. The survey was second rate to say the least and the previous owner, whom I never met, was singularly unhelpful. There are a few HT’s knocking around the Ionion but I’ve not seen any others for sale.
