Has anyone a liferaft on board? If yes where to stow it? I have found a huge hollow space in the cockpit between those lockers on the 'bench' (aftside bulkhead) On other HT i've seen that the outboard-bun is in that space. Would you consider it a good place?
I think the the extra weight is neatly centred there, in times of trouble it is near doors and helm.
I the event of capsize it not such a good place. Then fully aft between the rudders would be best, i guess.
On the cabinroof takes away much of the view. On the foredeck too far away. On the aft roof it interferes with all the sheets, and cockpittent.
      Who helps?

I,ve finally put the liferaft inside one of the frontlockers.
A red line ending in a loop will be attached to a quickrelease on the locker-lock and the raft. The line will be ending to the underside of the front-deck (visible on the avatar upper right.)
I think that in case of a capsize the cockpit will be obstructed (upside down) more than the frontlocker. Not that HT's tend to capsize much!

Just to write something, since nothing much is going on at the forum lately.

        all the best

Hi Juup – you've got an HT27 with twin diesels – how in the name of all that's holy do you intend to capsize her?

              Hey Pasta
Maybe if I go to sleep in a gale force 12 near Scotland?
I agree that its paranoid to think of these things, and it is all too academic, but better safe than sorry.
I recently installed five 2kg fire-extinguishers, because of these 'what if' thoughts.
              Cheers
              Juup

Hey Juup, If you can sleep in a force 12, God bless you!
