We have put The Dash (HT 26 Mk I) up on the hard for the winter and are starting to plan next summer's projects. One thing we are discussing is replacing the “lifting part” of the Mk I outboard engine compartment. It seems that our compartment is larger than it needs to be to allow for engine space. Looking at maybe bring each side in 4″ and the front in 6″, along with “cutting the corners” off at 45 degrees….all of course to get more cockpit space. Has anyone completed such a modification? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks very much. Happy New Year from the Colonies.
