      So i'm sitting translating a song by the loving spoonful; You didn't have to be so nice.
      The lyrics that are hard for me to understand are:' If you had only looked once or twice,and gone upon your quiet way”
      Now what I don't understand is the 'gone upon' part. What does it mean?
      is it: to leave, vanish
      or : to continue in a quiet way ( to maintain the situation but be calm)

      Sorry I post it here but it's the only forum i know with a lot of English people.

        I think “to leave in a quiet way” sounds right in the context of what you have written. To' go upon your quite way' would be the present tense.

          I agree, it sort of reminds me of a Fleetwood Mac song, “You can go your own way”
