My HT 26 has the forestay fixed to a bridle arrangement, with just the anchor roller in front of it. The boat came with a cruising chute but I am unsure where to secure the foot of the sail to – can anybody help. Thanks.

For a quick fix, run a tail from the tack round the anchor roller and secure it to the anchor cleat, leaving the tack about 1 metre above the roller. The cruiser tends to lift forwards and up when correctly set. For a permanent solution fit a prodder (bowsprit!). To avoid damage I take mine down when the wind hits 15kts over the deck, the benefit is marginal by then. I love my lightweight cruising chute, best sail I have. DavidH (Grey Dove)
