Thanks to all who help make the AGM a success.
Somebody mentioned the problem with parking. I did a little Tripadvisor review which elicited the following reply:
“Many thanks for your 5 star review Biker in spite of the parsimonious car park – not really true given we have 66 spaces which is more than the majority of the hotels in Bournemouth and they are free!!. Why not treat yourself to an executive room next time which guarantees you an allocated space if booked direct with the hotel.

26th February 2015 at 1:13 pm #12087David I had an e mail from the hotel which stated that they had slightly fewer spaces than rooms. I didn't keep it, but wish had now so that I could quote accurately. The parking this year was a nightmare. We were fortunate that we were upgraded to an executive room and got a space allocated (quite by accident). I think too some people attend for dinners etc but are not staying and that really clogs up the parking lot. We'll see what the majority view is for next year……tba. Chrissie
2nd March 2015 at 12:47 pm #12088I guess parking is a nightmare pretty much anywhere nowadays..not surprising as there were 35 million cars in the UK at the time of the AGM….projected to go up by another half million by the next AGM! Maybe we could ask the hotel for some permit system? Each car “attending” being allocated a space, maybe?
