I have also been thinking about adding a diesel engine with hydraulic drives but having looked on a few HT's with diesel engines, I have noticed quite a strong smell. This was not something I had considered and it has made me re-think. Do they all smell or is it just down to installtion / old engines? I guess it would be very difficult to seal the engine bay completley.
