    Hi Bruce

I am sorry to say I only installed a single outlet configuration but do understand your problem. I resolved my problem of heating the main cabin and aft cabins by fitting two heaters. I got a very very very good deal.
The main cabin outlet is positioned directly under the chart table and angled inwards and upwards at 45 deg' allowing the air flow upwards into the main seating area.
The aft cabin outlets run along the back of the stern shelving passing through the inter cabin bulk head.
I have used a splitter in this configuration but it is a “Half Y ” type . the unit itself is installed in the port aft cabin high above the steering linkage and exhausted out through the inner face of the rudder protrusion . Have not yet
fully completed this one yet .

    hope this helps a little

    Dave R
