Well, if i start to add the different costs, I directly go to hang myself!!! the goal was not to have a cheaper ship. It's more a personnal challenge : I wanted a British cat, a lot safer in my humble opinion than the French ones, and I want to sail with my grandsons aboard, so I want to know exactly were is the least bolt and how to fix anything on board. And I want to know if I able to do it!!!!
I replace the rotten beams by a “canvas” of stainless steel square tubes, who allow to be partially unbolted, giving head upon the engines in case of major maintenance. The weight is not so heavy compared to the wood, and it's a lot stronger. ,I know it's quite “bizarre”, but I am myself quite “bizarre”!!!!!! 🙂
