    Hi Bill
    The measurements of the steps are
    59cm wide,
    32 to35 (somewhat bigger at one side) deep
    33cm high

    There are no vents whatsoever, but you could bore a hole towards the enginecompartments (we have twin diesels)

    We torture our batteries as much as we can with loading and unloadind but actually I ve never smelled anything other then our typical HT smell (a little polyesterish).
