Twins 36

Huge double aft cabins with large, luxurious queen size, full-length double berths, plenty of practical hanging space, and complete privacy, the port cabin having private ensuite toilet and shower.
Being at the aft end of the boat makes the cabins very comfortable and quiet, even in rough weather at sea.
A third spacious double cabin in the starboard forward hull shares the starboard heads and shower area.

Being in the port hull, the galley is not in a passageway to anywhere else in the boat, and while the galley hands can thoroughly enjoy all saloon socialising they work better and happier knowing that there will be no need for anybody to be trying to squeeze past them.

The Twins 36 is an impressive sailing machine in all sorts of seas, in all different wind strengths.
Under power, Twins 36 comes with a twin folding prop engine installation as standard – either conventional twin diesels in each hull, or centrally mounted diesel with twin, independent hydraulic drives.

The boat is built with large, sealed buoyancy chambers fore and aft in each hull, so that, even if badly holed in both hulls, the boat floats high enough to be habitable and still navigable. The sailplan, while highly efficient, balanced and effective, is relatively modest in size, and combined with a reassuringly wide beam, results in a boat which really impresses in bad weather. Twins 36 can be reefed easily under all conditions, even when running before a rapidly increasing gale. Light overall weight, plus an excellent hull shape produces really good sailing performance in light airs, enhanced by a specially designed “reacher” sail, set on a second forestay. This can be quickly and easily removed when the wind pipes up, leaving the still more controllable standard rig for gusty or hazardous conditions.
