We’re trying to plan upgrades and other work needing done, so have a few questions we wondered if any members might be able to help with.
We’re trying to get / keep weight down. Does anyone know of a lightweight alternative to marine ply we could use for (a) non weight-bearing purposes, e.g. doors, cupboard doors, cupboard dividers etc. (2) Weight-bearing (though not integral to boat structure) purposes such as internal hatches under beds and seats, seating bases etc.
We also wondered about any/the best sources of materials and second-hand equipment and parts around the Southampton to Chichester area. There’s quite an extensive wish-list. Also potentially might have a few things to sell or swap, if anyone’s interested.
Any catamaran-related advice gratefully received.
