Nothing in computers stands still for long and so it is with the website software. The underlying computer programing language is PHP and we have been running version PHP 5.6 for a long time. With the new hoster I took the opportunity to update the programing language to PHP 7.0
At this time the forum software does not work with PHP 7.1 which is the version I’d like to run, but moving to PHP 7.0 is still a big step forward. I can see a significant speed increase on loading all pages. Once the forum software is updated to run PHP 7.1 then I will be able to change to PHP 7.1 as well.
