After being with the same server host company for many years I have moved the website to a new server. The main reason is speed – most noticeable when logged in, the new server being so much quicker. It’s also a bit cheaper and has some extra facilities. So a win – win situation.
The underlying email system is having problems.
Which means that the Contact-us, Forgotten-password, and Signup pages are not working correctly.
It appears to work but the necessary email is no being sent.
This is being looked into.
A new facility of the new web server which I have just enabled is SSL website encryption. This means that you should see a “Padlock” or something similar in the address bar, as you might see in banks, Google, Facebook etc. It means that if you use public Wi-Fi then your connection is encrypted and your user name and password can’t be listen into.
All pages except the two Blogs are covered. With the two blogs you should see a warning that some of the data is not encrypted. This is normal.
After nearly a year with the current web hoster I’ve had to move to another, hopefully more reliable host provider.
Only time will tell.
