The wood plaque that you describe relates to the Certificate of British Registry.

O.N. stands for Official Number.
R.T. stands for Registered Tonnage.

When you took ownership of “The Dash” the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) should have been informed of any changes to the ships particulars or ownership.

With regard to the plaque, typically this is purchased at the time of registration and should be bonded to some part of the vessel such that it cannot be removed. In days gone by I believe the requirement was that it should be carved into the deck beam.

Additionally you should have a supporting certificate that your meant to keep on board….but this pre-supposes that it is still in date (5 years between renewals).
