Barry in essence you disconnect the prop shaft and withdraw it. Remove the old cutlass bearing, putting the new one onto the shaft and replace. There is a grub screw holding the old one in place which might be hidden under some sealer making it hard to spot. You will need to be sure the prop shaft is correctly aligned when it goes back in. You might need to check either your deep sea seals (if you have them) or the stuffing in the stuffing box where the shaft enters the boat. It's a good time to service that area while you are there. If I have missed a step I will get back to you….Of course you need to do this all in one tide or be aground on the hard. The boat won't float if you are unable to get the job finished by the time the tide comes in, unless you put a bung in the hole. Good luck!! Chrissie
