Bill, I have three batteries in the stbd step down opp the nav station. This is a good site as it is a short run to the battery switch, the fuse panel and solar controller. I guess that is what might come into your consideration. If you are wondering how you fit three batteries – two are standard size 110 deep cycle domestics use, but for engine starting you can get very small but powerful crank batteries. Visit Barden batteries to see what's on offer. As for gas, I have this in the fwd port locker. These obviously have the required drain to fresh air – you must make sure that this cannot get blocked. Some simple wooden cutouts hold the gas cylinders in place. The only issue with this site is that it's quite 'salty' fwd, so there's a bit of rusting of the bottles! Nick
