Greydove's main is fully battened, loose footed, with roller cars on each batten. The roach is cut very high and the leach is nearly parallel with the luff to about half way up. A powerful sail for an HT26 given that my mast is 35 ft (10.8m). I have three reefs with the third reducing the sail area by 2/3. Saturn Sails, who have a lot of multi-hull expertise, built the sail and recommended the loose foot. I have multi-sheave blocks to adjust the foot tension and the halyard is 2:1 to enable easier luff tensioning. It works!
