hydraulic drive connection

      My HT has Volspec hydraulic drive units connected to a Perkins Parama diesel. Does anyone know how the hydraulic pump is connected to the engine . The reason for the question is that whilstgoing into my berth last week the engine note changed to a high pitch as if I had stripped a drive belt? . I don't believe I have such a configuration
      Any other suggestion to the problem would be greatfully received .

        Have you checked your props?
        May have come off!

          Thanks for the suggestion ,Checked at the weekend and there still attached
