I have removed my old type 6 Vetus gearbox/shaft connections and replaced them with Vetus' Bullflex coupling. It's now so much easier to decouple the shaft (eg for shaft seal removal) and the vibration along the shaft is definitely a lot less. I'll let you know if there are any issues throughout the season.
