I am interested in any bits of kit which people consider to be a) particularly reliable b) well built and long living c) exceptional value d) damned useful on a long trip e) couldn't do without….in fact any bit which makes life easier and more reliable…ice-maker for the gin, maybe….genius 12 volt washing machine…design for a sextant made from a cornflakes box…super dooper combined gps/cd/microwave oven and shower….any ideas, adaptations or improvements.

Am sure you get the idea….

Any advice welcomed…the more prejudiced or inventive the better!

      Cheers

        Dave,

A cheap and simple thing I added to a previous boat was an outboard engine in-line fuel bulb, into the diesel fuel line. This made bleeding the engine very quick and painless.
