So, after several years, yes , several years checking property in turkey ( we have already lived there for ten years) I, we, decided that Dalaman was the place. Lots of good priced properties, marina to be built and close to Gochek with marinas.
We spent a very busy 5 days looking at properties but then decided, just as a formality, we would nip down to Gochek to finalise the boat contract.
Well at present Gochek has three marinas, Port Vale, big and relatively cheap, one year 1800 or so euros for an 8 meter cat.
Municipality marina, 2200 eu's for six months and another small private one at 2000 eu's for six months. Big difference eh!.
So we had a glass of wine in front of the main marina, great, can't wait to get here. Calmly strolled to the office(up hill by the way) and was informed, full and 200 boats waiting list.
Exit Gochek and Dalaman.
PS Know I spelt Gochek wrong but have a brain block this evening.
