For anyone thinking of sailing to North Cyprus for any more than a breief stay, then don't bother at the moment.
Spent ten days in May in Gurni looking at houses thet can be near the boat. The main harbour is full except for the odd nights visit and very very noisy. The “New” Marina is situated in the “New” comercial harbour. At first glanse I thought , no way, but I found it had a little cafe right in the marina and after looking around thought it was ok, we could manage. Especially as the hous we were thinking about was only 20 mins walk away. Checked in the office and full,full,full with a waiting list. It's very small with only 30 – 40 ish, boats on the hard standing. Quiet a few for sale as well but this means no room for anyone else. I also asked about October but no joy.
Exit North Cyprus.
More to be or are being built but not yet ready and will be isolated during winter as mostly surroubded by holiday accomidation.
