I am trying to build a yard trailer to pull my HT 26 out of the water and store in local boat yard. Has anyone built one before or have any advice on constructing one. Many thanks, Jeff

Recently Multihull holland (evecom) told me that without problems a Heavenly twins can be lifted out of the water with sufficient support under the bridgedeck. so if you use an H- or U profile of about 6 meters long and make 10 cm wide support planks on them to get around the two long rims aside the middle hump it could work. You,ll have around 3square meters of support. There shouldn't be any point-pressure spots. So maybe some adittional fenderlike material is needed.
I was going to make such a construction but alas, they won't lift our boat on such a device because of the insurance. Back to the crane and straps.

Did you build a trailer? I want to do so now too. My idea is two U profile beams with cross members (I want it to be able to be dismantled). The problem is where to source wheels. I want them small about 15 cm diameter to keep the profile low. Any ideas on where to source such wheels (maybe 6) to support two and a half tons?

I had the same problem, but as I had to move my boat alone, I thought that 6 meters beams would be too heavy. On an other hand, as I wanted too a very low trailer, I found difficult to find small wheels able to support such a weight .So I made four slids ( skates?) with H beams (50 cm long, 14 cm wide), each one with 4 wheels (20 cm diameter) each wheel beeing able to support 200 Kg. It's a total of 16 wheels ( cheap : around 10 euros each), each pair able to turn left or right, so you can, slowly, turn the boat. I put a slid at each end of the keels, the keel entering in the H of the beam. It's probably not an universal solution, but for me, it's works.
I found wheels on a french site, ( Manutan ) specialized in industrial goods, but I am sure you can find the same in GB. I had a look on the Radiospares site, and they have all sort of wheels you need. The slids look like that :

That is exactly the idea I had come to! It's great to see and hear that you had thought of it already and that it works. Lightweight, portable and low level, ideal. Your photos are excellent and very helpfull, I hope I can repeat the quality of your workmanship, which looks very professional.
Thanks very much.
