Does anyone know if a direct replacemnet for a 1991 HT27 saloon hatch (on the coachroof above the saloon table) is still available and from whom? If not is there an alternative replacement hatch anyone can recommend? My hatch is UV degraded with many stress cracks (doesn't leak though) but also the interior surround is in a very bad state and even replacing that would be nice.
Alastair(RnR)4th May 2007 at 12:36 pm #11481Ours is a standard Lewmar Ocean, in which case there are lots of direct replacements. Best contact is Seateach as they often advertise hatch deals in PBO. Regarding the stress cracks they are in the top fraction of a mm. You can buy polishing paste from Halfords for £8 which with 3 or 4 hours of polishing will remove them. A lot of effort but I don't fancy replacing our hatch!

Distant Drummer has a “Moonlight” hatch fitted as standard (Cutout dimensions 500mm x 500mm x Radius 50mm) which you may want to consider as an alternative to the Lewmar Ocean. Several companies offer the product throughout Europe and Australia so replacements are readily available. If you want more info, please give me a shout.
Regards
Bruce
